Our Purpose

Gallery 4222 was founded in 2003 by a collection of 12 artists. The Members of this gallery are as diverse and complex as the work we exhibit, and also are a true representation of all Long Islanders as whole. Ideologically, this gallery has remained true to its initial goal of a gallery run by artists for artists. Seeing a void of cultural or content driven art work inspires us to collaborate our efforts and construct a community orientated showcase for artists, musicians, writers, film makers, and the aspiring alike. We strive to continually grow in depth and scope, and will continue to engage ourselves in conversation with the public sphere. We have closed our doors in Port Jefferson for the time, by check back often to see whats going on with the artists...
